fastest card game we've played as a family, Bengal edition

Mishti Maach Luchi Shondesh Babu ........... is the same physical reflex game as the other regional editions. center cards drop, you do the right action fast (Titli, Magarmach, or Gorilla), wrong action or hesitation and you take the pile, winner runs out of cards first. the Bengali names matter more than you'd think -- when a Mishti card drops and the whole table goes into butterfly-flapping mode it's just funnier with names you grew up hearing. played this across three generations at a family gathering, kids loved the chaos, adults were competitive, dadu and didi loved the references. rounds are fast so nobody's just watching. one note: agree on what counts as hesitating before you start, it will cause arguments otherwise.

ordered for our family puja gathering, everyone loved it

brought this out after dinner and it was the highlight of the whole event honestly. so easy to explain to elders. we played 5 rounds back to back. the Bengali names are a nice touch. highly recommended.

my dadu beat us all to the chest-beat action. hes 74.

Shondesh card dropped and before any of us processed what we were looking at he had already beaten his chest twice and was gloating. this game unlocked something in him.
